    Hello MGAL Friends,

I’m honored to have been invited to serve as the keynote speaker for two professional conferences this August, where attendees will participate in an interactive expressive arts experience through The Newborn Method™.

These conferences will bring together professionals from juvenile justice, child welfare, education, behavioral health, and community organizations. My goal is to demonstrate how visual art can create connection, reflection, and meaningful dialogue.

As a Star Artist with the Memphis/Germantown Art League, I’m proud to represent our local arts community in these professional settings.

I’m also grateful to Art Center Supply Store for collaborating with us by helping support the expressive arts materials. As someone who has shopped there since my days as a student at Memphis College of Art, this partnership is especially meaningful.

    Volunteer Opportunity

I’m looking for a small team of artists and creative volunteers to assist with:

    Welcoming participants
Helping distribute and replenish art supplies
    Supporting the creative experience
    Assisting with setup and cleanup
    Photography or videography (if available)

This is an opportunity to introduce hundreds of professionals to the power of expressive arts while representing Memphis’s incredible arts community.

If you’re interested in volunteering or learning more, I’d love to connect.

Thank you for your continued support of the arts!

    Warmly,
    Violet A. Newborn
