DESCRIPTION:Event includes a self-guided tour of the museum.  Light refreshments will be served.\nFeatured Speaker: Kathy Dumlao\, Director of Education and Interpretation\, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art\n\n \nKathy Dumlao is the Director of Education & Interpretation at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Having served in several roles at the museum since 2000\, Kathy has overseen school and teacher programs as well as programming for youth and families and the museum’s Art Therapy Access Program. Kathy currently leads the work of the education department\, and serves as a member of the museum’s leadership team. \nIn addition to her work at the museum\, Kathy served on the board of the Tennessee Art Education Association (TAEA) from 2009 to 2021. She was awarded TAEA’s Museum Educator of the Year in 2009\, and the State Art Educator of the Year in 2023. Kathy was awarded National Art Education Association’s (NAEA) Southeastern Museum Educator of the Year in 2023\, and currently serves as Museum Division Director-Elect on the NAEA Board.
